Christopher Hitchens has posted a longass essay tearing Fahrenheit 9/11 to shreds. I have no comments one way or the other. The wholesale dissection of the film either way before its release leaves me with a bitter aftertaste.

I like this piece because 1) Hitchens calls out Moore for a reprise of their Teluride smackdown and 2) because Hitchens is a continuing example of how the ad hominem attack can coexist with intelligent and critical argumentation. This is a clearly a British style that has not managed to take root here in the USA.
Take note that the only reported Bill Clinton tantrum was with a BBC interviewer—which speaks loads about the critical environment here, methinks.
