A very nice choice, if I do say so myself!
- Doris Lessing: A Retrospective
- 1988 and 1998 audio interviews with Don Swaim.
- Joyce Carol Oates on Lessing.
- Lessing interviewed by Dwight Garner (back in the Salon days when he was more fun).
- A Q&A from August with the Boston Globe‘s Harvey Blume.
- Is Doris Lessing the first Nobel laureate with a MySpace page?
- Lessing’s controversial remarks against feminism.
“The most stupid, ill-educated and nasty woman can rubbish the nicest, kindest and most intelligent man and no-one protests.”
You have to love that. Especially when she used “rubbish” as a verb.
Her reaction to reporters was hilarious — “Oh, Christ … I couldn’t care less,” according to an AP story.
